Precious and fragile songs, from the intimate twilight of the soul. Heka keeps on fascinating us with “(a) dab”.

REVIEW

Listening to heka is like making contact with a deeper dimension, where the only handhold is her voice ready to narrate herself within the most intimate folds of the soul, a sensitivity always open to deepen the knowledge of what is around to redefine all with new sounds and words.

The first seconds of “(a) dab” are the epitome of pure ambient, from whose rarefied frequencies a guitar and a voice slowly emerge and they seem to represent another dimension’s state of mind, dissecting feelings with detachment and observing them for what they are, in their ephemeral and immanent nature.

“(a) wall” is the first single of the artist born on the hills of Fiesole and currently based in London, a quasi-jazz stride, a trumpet that embellishes a suggestive sound flow in which each element is expressed with care and captivating spontaneity, these are the signs of an artist not in need for confirmation, that must be discovered in her precious originality.

Her EP “(a)” will be released on May 19th via Balloon Machine Records.
