7Mondays make good use of tradition and innovate their sound with energy.

REVIEW

These 7Mondays are from Crotone, but they sound very American, “What’s Best To Die For” is abrasive, ethereal and stimulating, like very little of the music that comes from our country, and tries to move away from our national borders with bravery and determination.

Their guitars range from the experimental post-rock alien clatters to the most intense and dreamy emo, there is an inner sensitivity that dominates music’s dynamics, and it’s all aimed at keeping us clinging to a song that later explodes in a glorious shoegaze light.

At the beginning of the millennium there was an Italian scene completely absorbed into this type of sonic research, today almost nothing is left of that, so the 7Mondays are here to fill that very gap.

It won’t the band’s only release for this 2021, since there’s an EP is coming that, let’s just say, we are impatiently waiting.
