Anna B Savage, intense sensations and a touch of decadence in her “Chelsea Hotel #3”. [Single Review]

REVIEW

They seem to be wandering among the abandoned buildings on the soul’s suburbs, among the abandoned factories of the feelings that have never found a form out there, existing only in the flow of intense and contradictory sensations of her unmanageable emotion, we are talking about the songs of Anna B Savage, a London artist who has just signed with City Slang and has released a single track with the iconic title “Chelsea Hotel #3“, inspired by Leonard Cohen’s “Chelsea Hotel #2”.

But let’s take a few steps back and let’s listen to “Live at Cafe Oto“, a guitar and a personal, unique voice that vibrates in depth, “IV“, “Also Human“, songs that seem to come from darkness illuminated by mystical flashes, indistinct shadows fade on the side of the room, proving we are in front of something precious that rarely occurs, only at the right time and in the right place.

Crystalline reverberations of guitar, voice, choruses, and a synth, give desolation to listening, solitude becomes oppressive, but the song rises in intensity and drags our attention, then in the dim light a of a literary atmosphere, while observation and judgment rest in a quiet sleep, little else orbits in room #3, only the pale light of a star that we will appreciate for quite some time.
