“Don’t Pick Me Up” is a little pop masterpiece that leaves its mark. [Single Review]

REVIEW

With “Don’t Pick Me Up“, the Vanarin give us a winning pop formula, one year after “Overnight” they confirm to be a choice of quality with their new single.

A mixture, this of the Vanarins, that has faced various phases in these years, starting from a fascination for the Beatles’ harmonies, it passed through strong black influences, in which the beat guided their eclectic sound.

In the last single the good vibes are always in the foreground, the soul-funk influences take over, in a context that still manages to remain easy and enjoyable, without overflowing into obviousness. The Vanarins are guys who love surprises and don't like to repeat themselves, and maybe that is exactly what makes them one of the most interesting acts around. Go on like this.
