REVIEW

Lucas Rizzo is taking over the dark pop realm with his new release ‘Hell Of A Heaven‘. Simplistic in delivery but yet mesmerising from the get-go.

The idea that a track needs to be hugely complex to be a hit is very much far from the truth. The proof is in the pudding here with Lucas Rizzo’s new release. It takes on a dark pop theme, and structurally we hear the artist putting together a track which is taking the pop scene by storm.

Vocally, Lucas Rizzo is pretty unique. To the extent where if I were going to put him onto a shelf, he would most likely have a shelf of his own. Lucas is unique as an individual also being a record label owner and music professional in his own right. The years of experience he has accrued must have rubbed off on him with this release because it sounds like an artist who has a massive back catalogue already behind him.

Nevertheless, I would have liked to have heard a little more harmonies placed within various sections of the song. Not only do I think it would have worked wonders, but it would have made the vocals sound even fuller within the mix. The music is top draw, and the electronic elements within it form a very profound foundation giving the track energy and heaps of life from the very start. Fast forward a couple of months, this track could be blowing some of the big hitters out of the water. I am sure of it. Also, it appears that COVID-19 is not getting in his way. The hype train is travelling at full pelt; after all, that is how I came across this song in the first place.
