REVIEW
Mykyta Tortora’s debut single “If There Were” was released last September and it shows an artist that craves to give us an intimate and discreet vision of his existence, far away and through a skinny and fascinating sound.
An acoustic guitar that echoes in a basement, a voice that is looking for a way to represent emotions in the most authentic, and therefore effective, way.
Mykyta plays in the 7Mondays, where the sound is more in the realm of a vivid shoegaze/post-rock music, while his solo project sees him grappling with a more reflective attitude, which finds its raison d’etre in a direct lo-fi that catches you from the first listen.
