In a soundscape that extends far and wide, a voice indicates the path of a soul who moves away from known places, looking for answers in the gray areas, in the most remote places. The journey of the More Than Ruins couldn’t start better, dreamy and intense, with sounds that become vivid images in a moment, a poem that writes itself, one word at a time, in an intimate reflection.
Jule Escherhaus (owner of the Laina project) meets Charlie Grant at a songwriting session and the two decide to take a common path, between London and Berlin, finding a first step in this debut entitled “Black Lines“.
Julie's soft and twilight pop merges with Charlie's acoustic soft-rock songwriting, then the producer and composer Ainsley Adams enters to be part of the project, giving his contribution in the setting up of an atmosphere in which the Romanticism is renewed in a contemporary dimension but far from clichés, orchestrated with grace, tones and light lines that leave some room for imagination.
